Obituary: Higbee, Sierra Lynn

Age 8

HIGBEE, Sierra Lynn (Age 8) Sierra passed away peacefully at her home on June 24, 2013.

She was born on July 2, 2004 to David and Mindi Higbee.

Sierra attended Windsor Elementary, where she was in third grade.

She fought a valiant 16 month fight against osteosarcoma with a smile on her face.

Her motto was “Sierra Strong”.

She was the happiest child and was always smiling.

Sierra dearly loved playing with her siblings, cousins and friends.

She had a great sense of humor and loved to be goofy.

Sierra also loved animals and art.

She has inspired many with her fighting spirit.

Sierra is survived by her parents David and Mindi Higbee; her brother Reece and sister Evelyn; grandparents: Dennis and Gail Higbee, Bryan and Helena Sampson and Don and Loring Rathbun; great-grandparents: Harold and Margaret Townsend and Loretta Babb; aunts: Melanie Vavra, Morgan Zigler, Meghan Olin, Michelle Sampson, Rachel Maycock, Melissa Short Duitman, Kimberly Wells, and Holly Higbee; uncles: Marshall Sampson, Matthew Sampson, Bode Sampson, Chris Higbee, Lance Higbee, Jared Higbee, Brett Maycock, Jon Wells, Ken Zigler, and Marcus Olin, along with countless cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 at the Spokane Washington West Stake Center, 10405 W. Melville Rd., Cheney, WA 99004.

The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM, followed by a Graveside Service at Greenwood Memorial Park, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.

All guests are asked to please wear purple in honor of Sierra.
