Age 82
June was born on June 4, 1931 in Spokane, WA to Robert and Georgie Meigs.
She grew up and attended schools in Spokane and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1949.
As a child she had fond memories of spending time on a family ranch in Montana.
She graduated from Whitworth College and completed Sherwood Hall Nursing School at Deaconess Hospital.
June worked for over 30 years at Deaconess Hospital on the orthopedic floor as a full charge nurse and later worked at Valley General Hospital.
She loved horses and raised them at her home on the Rathdrum Prairie.
She also raised and showed bulldogs.
She is survived by her son Scott (Carol) Hanson; and two grandsons Daniel Hanson and Eric (Nicole) Hanson all of Sandpoint.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob Roberts, and a brother Robert Meigs.
