KYRS Music Fest - Northwest’s only solar-powered music festival features local and regional bands, Ninkasi beer garden, food court, bike corral, yoga, hula hooping and more. Living in the Garden - Benefit for WSU Museum of Art. Third annual museum fundraiser will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a silent auction in the conservatory of works by local artists. Live music by Pork Pie Hat will offer an eclectic selection of favorites. Picnic for the Pond - O’Doherty’s Barbecue is catering, Big Red Barn Band is providing music, Verne Windham from KPBX is the emcee and neighborhood kids will provide fresh lemonade. Generous businesses and individuals have donated a wide range of items for a silent auction. This family event will raise money and awareness to improve the water quality and landscaping of Mirror Pond, also known as the duck pond. Mozart on a Summer’s Eve - July 16-17. 23rd annual event. Presented by Connoisseur Concerts, directed by Verne Windham, who will perform with soprano Susan Windham. World-renowned cellist Zuill Bailey, will be featured, back by popular demand. The concert theme is Song To The Moon and includes music of Mozart, Dvorak, Paganini and Chopin.
