CV increases kindergarten cost
The monthly fee for Central Valley School District’s full-day, tuition-based kindergarten has increased by $5 for the 2013-’14 school year.
The board approved the increase at Monday’s meeting to cover program costs.
The new price for full-day kindergarten is $320. Students who qualify for free meals pay $310 and those who qualify for reduced-price meals pay $315
Parents can register their children for kindergarten starting March 7. Those registering for full-day kindergarten must pay a $40 fee.
Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31 to enroll in kindergarten. When registering, parents must provide an original state-certified birth certificate, certificate of immunization status and resident verification.
There’s a registration checklist available in the kindergarten informational packet now available at schools and online at www.cvsd.org/ kindergarten.asp.
