EV drama presents ‘I Hate Shakespeare’

East Valley High School’s drama department presents “I Hate Shakespeare,” a parody introduction to William Shakespeare, opening Wednesday and continuing through March 9.

The play, directed by drama instructor Nicole Talbert, will feature characters such as Lady MacBeth, Richard the III, Hamlet, Jerry Springer, zombies and a cow.

The cast includes Madisyn Benge, Shelby Caldwell, Austin Carruthers, Jayde Conger, Taylor Gay, Nicole Estabrooks, Shantewa Jolstead, Nathan Jolstead, Becky Maxwell, Alyssa Perkins, Kay Potter, Thane Stevens and Ted Wilson.

The crew includes Joseph Miller and Narissa Aroonkamonsri.

Shows are at 7 p.m. Wednesday, 3 p.m. Thursday, 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, seniors and children younger than 12.
