Moscow rallies for berth in final

Moscow outscored Twin Falls 21-12 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 57-55 victory in a 4A State semifinal on Friday at Borah High School to earn a berth in the state title game.

Nick Ellison scored 22 points to lead the Bears, who play Rigby for the title today at 5 p.m. PST at the Idaho Center in Nampa.

Adam Gresch and Dane Randall added 12 points each for Moscow, which trailed by as many as nine points in the second half.


Madison 56, Post Falls 49: The Trojans led by 11 points at halftime but the Bobcats outscored them 16-7 in the third quarter and 18-9 in the fourth in a season-ending loss at the Idaho Center in Nampa.

Dalton Thompson and Keaton Corr scored nine points apiece to lead Post Falls.

Capital 54, Lake City 46: J.J. Winger scored 15 points and Kyle Guice added 13 points and 16 rebounds for Lake City, but it wasn’t enough as the Golden Eagles ended the Timbervolves’ season.


Buhl 76, Timberlake 69: Austin Allen scored 17 points to lead four Tigers in double figures in a season-ending loss for the Indians at Meridian High School.

Trevor Masterson scored 14 points, Johnny Hayden 13 and Keegan Scott 10 for Timberlake, and Jon Thompson pulled down 12 rebounds.

Kade and Kasey Crossland each scored 23 points to lead Buhl.

Sho-Ban 55, Kootenai 45: Jake Pfeiffer had 16 points and 10 rebounds in a losing cause as the Chiefs defeated the Warriors in a loser-out game at Caldwell High School.

Ben Whipple added 13 points for Kootenai.
