Obituary: Haegele, Shirley
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father, Shirl and Eleanor Haegele.
Shirley is survived and lovingly remembered by her brother, Richard Haegele and his wife Carol of Spokane Valley; nephew Glenn Haegele and niece Kelly Wallace and many great nieces and nephews; and by her many friends, co-workers and students; both past and present.
Shirley was born in Spokane, WA in 1943.
She graduated from North Central High School in 1961.
She went on to get her BA in Teaching at Eastern Washington in 1965 and began her teaching career.
She went on to earn her Masters Degree in Special Education at Whitworth College in 1994 and has been a special education teacher for the last 19 years.
Shirley was always smiling and upbeat and was a joy to be around.
She will always be remembered and loved.
There will be a memorial in her honor at the Lakeside Middle School Gym on March 7, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
