Hector M. Contreras Rodriguez, 21, of Quincy, is in custody at the Grant County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, the release said. Another suspect, a 16-year-old boy, is also in custody.
Foreman said the department received a call of shots fired around 9:15 p.m. and arrived at the scene to find two people shot.
They were treated at the scene before they were transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center and eventually taken by helicopter to a trauma hospital.
Foreman said the shooting is not related to another shooting Saturday in Grant County. A 60-year-old man was fatally wounded at his home in Moses Lake.
