Obituary: Brown, Harold Joshua

Age 87

BROWN, Harold Joshua Harold Joshua Brown passed away on February 28, 2013, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 2, 1925 in Rigby, Idaho.

He had an older brother, Carl, and younger twin siblings, Dale and Helen.

He was drafted into the Army in 1944 and served in Okinawa and Saipan until his discharge in 1946.

He married Edith Myers in November 1946.

Nine children were born within that marriage.

After they divorced, he married Vivien Warren and became step-father to her five children.

He worked for the Post Office for 33 years and retired in 1980.

Harold had an unwavering commitment to God and was faithful to his Church.

He loved traveling which included the Veterans Honor flight to Washington DC in 2011.

He was proud of being a veteran and attended his army reunion every year.

Harold is preceded in death by his wife Vivien, son David Brown, and step-children Ronald Warren, and Berni Divilbiss.

He is survived by eight of his children, J.D (Doug) Brown, Diane Payne, Shirley Kluver, Kenneth Brown, Joanne Warren, Jonathan Brown, Ginger McGovern, and Roy Brown as well as step-children Arden Warren, Orva Warren, and Nola Lloyd.

He also had 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as numerous step-grand- children and step-great-grandchildren.

He faithfully sent birthday cards to all every year!

There will be a viewing at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home on Thursday March 7 from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be Friday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church at 14111 E. 16th.

Private family graveside service will follow.
