Police: Suspected pipe bomb was actually drug device
Spokane Police investigated a report today of a possible pipe bomb found in an alley behind 112 E. Wellesley Ave.
The bomb squad determined the object not to be a bomb, but a “drug paraphernalia device associated with marijuana,” police spokeswoman Monique Cotton said in a news release.
A citizen reported finding the object just after 10 a.m.
The police department cordoned off the alley and advised people to stay away from the area as they investigated.
