Stanford sweeps Cal, ends Bears’ 7-game win streak

Chasson Randle scored 20 points, Josh Huestis added 18 and Stanford beat California 83-70 on Wednesday in Berkeley, Calif., completing a season sweep and ending the Golden Bears’ seven-game winning streak.

Aaron Bright chipped in 16 points for the Cardinal (18-13, 9-9 Pac-12).

The game was stopped for nearly 10 minutes late in the second half after players from both teams began pushing and shoving one another during a break in play. Six players received technical fouls during the melee, two others were ejected for leaving the bench and a combined three assistant coaches from the two schools were also ejected.

Allen Crabbe and Justin Cobbs, both of whom were involved in the fracas, had 24 points apiece for California. The Golden Bears (20-10, 12-6) lost for the first time since Feb. 7.

Washington 65, Southern California 57: Scott Suggs scored 18 points and redshirt freshman Jernard Jarreau added a career-high 12 to lead the Huskies to a victory over the Trojans in Seattle.

Jarreau and the Huskies (17-13, 9-8) combined to make 17 consecutive free throws over the final 17:40, following five consecutive misses to start the game.

Andrew Andrews scored five of his seven points in the final 2:07. Suggs scored 11 of his 18 points after halftime.

Washington won its third straight game after losing eight of its previous 10.

Dewayne Dedmon had 18 points for USC (14-16, 9-8), which was leading 41-39 when he collected his fourth foul and came out of the game with 11:51 remaining. Washington went on to score nine unanswered points and never trailed again.
