Obituary: Bailey, Virginia Helen

Age 93

BAILEY, Virginia Helen Of Spokane, WA passed away March 6, 2013 at the age of 93.

She was born April 2, 1919 in Coffee Creek, MT.

and grew up in Portland, OR.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother and friend.

After high school, Virginia moved to Spokane, WA.

where she met and married Willard Bailey.

She was the oldest of four children.

She is survived by daughter, Colleen Bailey of Spokane, WA and sister, Margie Philber of Gresham, OR.

and many nieces and nephews.

During WWII she worked for the railroad as a telegraph operator.

She also worked as a waitress at the Kress in downtown Spokane.

Later she worked for 36 years at Colonial bowl as a clerk, bowling instructor, and restaurant manager.

Virginia enjoyed tennis, golf and bowling.

She brought home many bowling trophies.

She was preceded in death by her brother Harley Davis, and her sister Madeline Kelley and brother-in-law Harold Kelley.

A date for a “Celebration of Life” gathering will be set for a later time.
