Obituary: Brown, Demetria E.

BROWN, Demetria E. Demetria E. Brown, or “Jim” crossed the “threshold” at 12:25pm on March 3, 2013.

He has a wife of 54 years, Johna Lee Brown and a son Nick Brown (Kristina).

Jim was born December 26, 1926 in Whitefish, Montana.

His parents were Addie Brown and George (Tsatsoulis) Brown.

Jim had one sister, Edna and two brothers, Raymond and Melvin.

The Brown family owned a produce farm in Greenacres, Washington.

Jim took life by the horns at an early age.

As a senior in high school he received football scholarships but he decided to join the Armed Forces instead.

He was stationed at Leyte in the Phillipines during World War II.

After returning from WWI he attended Whitworth College.

From there he became a salesman at Tubb’s Electric and later Crescent Electric.

He later met the love of his life, who also worked with at Tubb’s Electric.

They were married in 1955 and had a child, Nick in 1959.

He loved the Seahawks, Mariners and the Zags through thick or thin.

To know Jim, is to love Jim.

He made a positive impact on all he met.

A true Gentlemen, a loving husband and a world class Father.
