Obituary: Heinen, Norman Enoch Sr.

Age 69

HEINEN, Norman Enoch Sr. (Age 69) Was born on September 7, 1943 in Chewelah, WA to Fred and Angela (Crosby) Heinen and entered into rest on March 6, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

Norman grew up in Morgan Acres, and at the age of 18 he joined the Navy and served four and a half years; in June of 1968 he joined the Spokane Fire Department.

After serving 33 years he retired on December 24, 2001.

His community service didn’t end there; he did various charity work for Meals on Wheels, and loved helping his congregation and those in need.

Norman was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus (Sir Norman Heinen), as well as a devout Catholic who loved his Lord and Savior.

He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his brother, Rodney Heinen; son, Norman E. Heinen Jr.; daughter, Angela K. (Jesse) Schauer; nieces, Kimberly A. Heinen (who was like a daughter to him), Lyndsey A.

(Cody) Riddle, Sabrina (Salvatore) Grisafi, Maria and Valentina Grisafi, Miranda Heinen; nephews, Klint (Ann) Heinen, Baylee and Spencer Heinen, Lauden and Daulton Godsey, Pellegrino Grisafi, Peter Heinen and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Rosary Service will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 6 PM at Hennessey Smith Funeral Home in Spokane, WA.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Spokane, WA, interment will take place after the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery.
