Baker Big Sky MVP
University of Montana forward Katie Baker has been named the Big Sky Conference’s Most Valuable Player in women’s basketball.
Baker, a former Lake City High standout, led the Lady Griz to the conference regular-season championship.
The senior averaged 13.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She also had 55 blocks, second in the conference.
Three Eastern Washington players were honored by the conference.
Sophomore guard Lexie Nelson was selected to the All-Big Sky first team, senior Carrie Ojeda received honorable mention and Hayley Hodgins was named Most Otstanding Freshman. Hodgins is the first Eagle since 1993 …
