Gonzaga’s Olson pitcher of week
Gonzaga senior Tyler Olson was named West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Olson (University High) threw a complete-game victory over Hawaii on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits. He lowered his ERA to a team-best 1.84 in his second complete game of the season.
Olson also won the honor March 5, 2012.
The Bulldogs’ Marco Gonzales was recognized with the award the previous week.
Track and field
Idaho’s Hannah Kiser was named a second-team All-American by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
