Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course – This program is intended for licensed registered nurses who have been employed for a minimum of six months and possess a basic understanding of cancer biology. Panelists for the forum include Mike Kreidler, Washington insurance commissioner; Madeline Otto, Group Health’s director of federal government relations; Michael Marchand, of the Washington Health Benefit Exchange; and Dr. Jeff Collins, Providence Health Care chief medical executive. Prepared Child Birth Classes Six-week, 12-hour course is for those already pregnant and covers topics including prenatal care, nutrition, stages of labor, pain management, breathing, Cesarean birth, post-delivery care, infant CPR, newborn care and lactation. Classes are held 7-9 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, or in a condensed eight-hour format on select Saturdays. Cost is $60 per person/couple, preregistration is required.
