Dylan first rock star for academy of arts

From Wire Reports

If he lived in England, he’d surely be Sir Bob Dylan.

The most influential songwriter of his time has become the first rock star voted into the elite, century-old American Academy of Arts and Letters, where artists range from Philip Roth to Jasper Johns and categories include music, literature and visual arts.

According to executive director Virginia Dajani, officials couldn’t decide whether he belonged for his words or for his music, so they settled on making him an honorary member, joining such previous choices as Meryl Streep, Woody Allen and a filmmaker who has made a documentary about Dylan, Martin Scorsese.

Website discloses Obama, Biden data

First lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are among the latest public figures to have their private information posted on a mysterious website, and the Secret Service has joined the investigation into the postings that include documents from people ranging from rapper Jay-Z to the head of the FBI.

The site includes Social Security numbers, credit reports, addresses and phone numbers.

It bears an Internet suffix originally assigned to the Soviet Union, and many of the pages feature unflattering pictures or taunting messages of the person featured. Others whose information is posted include pop star Britney Spears, Attorney General Eric Holder, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Both the FBI and the Secret Service said Tuesday they were investigating the site.

Osbourne recovering from seizure

Kelly Osbourne has been released from the hospital after a five-day stay following a seizure the E! fashionista had on the set of her show “Fashion Police.” “Kelly Osbourne has returned home and has been given a clean bill of health by her doctor,” her rep told E! News.

The 28-year-old experienced a 30-second seizure while filming her E! roundtable show Thursday and collapsed on the set. She was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for several days as a precautionary measure so doctors could pinpoint what may have caused the episode.

Reports surfaced that the red-carpet host may have been diagnosed with epilepsy, but her rep put down those theories.

“Doctors ran numerous tests and determined that this was most likely a one-time episode of which there are no conclusive results,” her rep said.
