Obituary: Koch, Kathryn R.

Age 73

KOCH, Kathryn R. October 14, 1939 - March 8, 2013 Kathryn R. Koch passed away March 8, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane WA on October 14, 1939.

She attended St. Francis of Assisi grade school from 1945 to 1953 and grad-uated from Holy Names Academy in 1957.

She then went on to Sacred Heart School of Nursing where she earned her nursing diploma and became a Registered Nurse.

Kathryn was married in 1961 and moved to Canada where she raised her family in Calgary, Alberta.

She returned to Spokane in 1990 to take care of her parents, James A. Koch (1913 - 2006) and Evelyn V. Koch (1912 - 2008).

She is survived by her brother James R. Koch; her sons Daniel McRory and Michael (Nikki) McRory; her daughter Kristine (Dave) Lymbery; and her grandson Chandler Lymbery.

Kathy loved to live life to the fullest from traveling to the Mediterranean to see the Roman Colosseum and the Parthenon in Greece, to snorkeling with sea turtles in the Caribbean, to ATVing on the back trails of Kootenay Lake.

Above all she enjoyed sharing a margarita on the beach surrounded by friends and family.

Services will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi on Friday, March 15th at 11:00 A.M. A gathering for friends and family will be held at The Swinging Door on Francis Avenue at 1:30 p.m.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana.
