No knives on planes

Speaking as a flight attendant and union vice president representing over 500 flight attendants, including 60-plus based in the Spokane area, I am appalled by the TSA’s recent decision to allow knives back into the aircraft cabin. Flight attendants are the last line of defense in the cabin, and I believe that these proposed changes could potentially endanger crew members and the passengers we work so hard to keep safe and secure.

Keeping dangerous items off the aircraft is an integral layer in making our aviation system secure and must remain in place. Flight attendants across the country are leading the charge: no knives on planes.
