CUNNINGHAM, Velma (Age 102) Velma Hartley Baird Cunningham, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 13th, 2013. Velma was born December 29th, 1910 to Louis and Margaret Hartley in Ellisville, IL. She moved, with her family, to the Spangle area as a young girl. It was there that she met and married Archie Baird in 1928 and was blessed with two children. After Archie’s death in 1969, she later married Bill Cunningham. During her amazing life she co-owned and operated the local saloon, was a member of the Grange for 81 years, and worked for Eastern Washington University …

CUNNINGHAM, Velma (Age 102) Velma Hartley Baird Cunningham, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 13th, 2013. Velma was born December 29th, 1910 to Louis and Margaret Hartley in Ellisville, IL. She moved, with her family, to the Spangle area as a young girl. It was there that she met and married Archie Baird in 1928 and was blessed with two children. After Archie’s death in 1969, she later married Bill Cunningham. During her amazing life she co-owned and operated the local saloon, was a member of the Grange for 81 years, and worked for Eastern Washington University for over 13 years. She was affectionately known to her family as Grandma Daisy and her passion for life and love of flowers was known by all. She is survived by her daughter; Peggy J. Parker. Son; Kenneth R. Baird. six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and nine great- great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: Archie Ray Baird, Eleanor Baird, Erma Conley, Lester Hartley, Steve Johnson, and Bill Cunningham.
