HAYNES, Lucile (Age 91) Lucile Haynes passed away at home in Moscow ID, on January 2, 2013. She was born the fifth of six children of W. D. (Dow) and Leona Scrivner on the family farm near Meridian, Idaho on April 10, 1921. HAYNES, Lucile (Age 91) Lucile Haynes passed away at home in Moscow ID, on January 2, 2013. She was born the fifth of six children of W. D. (Dow) and Leona Scrivner on the family farm near Meridian, Idaho on April 10, 1921. Known for her spunk, her father was fond of saying that when the doctor attending her birth swatted her to get her started her breathing, “She spit in his eye.” Cile graduated from Meridian High School and spent one year of college at the University of Idaho. She married Robert C. (Bob) Haynes of Coeur d’Alene on December 22, 1940. They were married 68 years until he passed way in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dow and Leona and her siblings, Eleanor, Gladys, Irene, Alice and Oren. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. (Bob) and Nancy Haynes of Coeur d’Alene, two grandchildren Stephanie Johnson (Travis) and Travis Haynes and also by numerous nieces and nephews. Cile worked for many years in the law office of Moscow attorney J.M. O’Donnell. Family and friends were very important to Cile. She loved supporting her grandchildren as they showed 4-H animals at the North Idaho Fair in Coeur d’Alene and camping with her sister Alice, her husband Terrell and her brother Oren and his wife Delores at Lost Lake outside of Weiser. Bob and Lucile also spent many wonderful days camping on the St Joe River. Cile also volunteered in the reading program in the grade schools in Moscow. She kept her mind sharp by reading, doing crossword puzzles and beating the pants off of anyone that dared to play Scrabble with her. She was generous to a fault and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. At her request, no services will be held. The family suggest memorials be contributed to the J. Morey & Virginia “Sammy” O’Donnell Family Endowment at the University of Idaho, 875 Perimeter Drive MS 3143, Moscow ID 83844-3143.
