KIRLIN, Martin J.

Lifetime Spokane resident Martin Joseph Kirlin passed away in his home on March 13, 2013 at the age of 86.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Eleanor Elaine Kirlin, in 2007.

He is survived by six children, Bob and Patrick of Spokane Valley; Kevin (Chris) of Rathdrum, ID; Elaine Hedge of Spokane; Anne (Kevan) Montoya of Yakima, WA; and Michael (Bonnie) Kirlin of Tenino, WA, and ten grandchildren.

Martin served his country in the Army during WWII, lived at Fort Lewis, WA and was stationed in Adak, AK when the war ended.

He returned to Spokane and worked at Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Company, Mead, WA, for 35 years.

Martin was a member of VFW Post 1474 in Hillyard, WA, Knights of Columbus, and St. Paschal’s Parish and School.

He was a wonderfully dedicated father who cared deeply for his family and the well being of others in his community.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

A Vigil Mass is scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2013, St. Paschal’s Church, N. 2521 Park Road, Spokane Valley, at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paschal’s Church on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 9:00 A.M.
