SIMS, Carol L. (Age 73) Passed away in the comfort of her own home on March 11, 2013 in Spokane, WA. She was born April 29, 1939 to Harry and Gleneva Gardner attending Lewis and Clark High School and Kinman University. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ron Sims; daughter, Karin (Jon) and son, Ken. Both children live in Spokane. She cherished her grandchildren, Jimmy, Phillip and Sarah. She is also survived by two brothers, Bryce and Leroy, and three sisters, Linda, Joanne and Janet. Carol spent many years passionately involved in her interior design business. She enjoyed spending time on Lake Coeur d’Alene on the family sailboat and in her garden which is just amazing. She could always light up a room, and was known to be lively, welcoming, and an extremely passionate person. She also had amazing taste. She would talk to anyone often making new friends where ever she went. Dementia took over the last few years of her life. Some might say she was quietly redecorating the gardens of heaven for her arrival. A celebration of Carol’s life will be Friday, March 22, 2013, 3:00pm at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA 99205.
