Multiple car accidents are blocking multiple lanes of traffic on westbound Interstate 90 during the evening commute.

Up to seven vehicles were involved in accidents between the Sprague and Argonne exits, according to Spokane Police and dispatch reports.

Traffic is clearing up east of the Argonne exit, police officials said.

Some of the vehicles are heavily damaged, but there’s no word of injuries at this time. Emergency crews are on scene, reports said.

Traffic is expected to clear up by 6 p.m., according to the Spokane Regional Transportation Management Center website.
