Obituary: Payton, Robert Eugene

PAYTON, Robert Eugene Robert Eugene Payton entered into rest surrounded by his family, at 2 pm on Wednesday the 13th of March in the year 2013 in Spokane, WA.

He was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, December 28, 1936.

He graduated Anderson High School in Indiana.

He married Harriette Anne Talbert, and worked for Nichelson File before moving his family to Pasadena, CA to work for Ambassador College.

He went to school at Pasadena City College where he became a Journeyman Machinist.

He moved his family to Spokane, Washington in 1974 where he worked for Carlson Machine Works.

He is survived by his children; Connie Payton, Karen Payton Cadwell, and Michael Payton along with his grandchildren: Michelle Mulligan, David Payton, Jonathan Payton, Melissa Payton, Olivia Cadwell, Jacob Cadwell, Amelia Cadwell and Gunnar Cadwell.

He is survived by his brother-in-law James Talbert, brother Orville Payton of Missouri, his sisters Gracie Ann Poteet of Anderson, Indiana and Ellen Eckert of Honeoye Falls, NY, and his beloved Aunt Jewel Grieves of Pocahontas, AR.

He was preceded in death by older brother Don Payton.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3pm Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Church of God Seventh Day, 2929 N. Frey St., Spokane, WA.
