Age 62

TAYLOR, Gene A.

(Age 62) Born to Roy and Sheilah Rose Taylor on December 28, 1950 in Kellogg, ID.

Moved to Lewiston, Idaho/ Clarkston, WA area at age 13 and was a three-sport athlete for the Clarkston HS Bantams, graduating in 1969.

He enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1971 and spent two years active duty, was honorably discharged and completed four years in the reserves.

He received a Business Degree from Spokane Community College and worked in a variety of business environments, including all phases of retail mortgage, including originating, processing and closing residential loans, sales of computer hardware and software and consulting services regarding credit card merchant fees.

Gene loved all sports and was particularly fond of fly fishing.

Over the past 20 years his passion became ballroom dancing and he did both instruction and performances.

He passed away at his home, from natural causes, on March 9, 2013 shortly after a dance practice session.

He was preceded in death by both parents and brothers, Dale and Wayne.

He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Chris) Lancaster and Stacy Taylor; three grandsons, Aiden, Ryan and Connor; his sister, Kaye (Dick) Dickerson; niece Teri (Jerry) Kempf, all of Spokane, WA and a nephew, Mike Hollis of Jacksonville, FL.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S Pines, Spokane Valley, WA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
