Obituary: Abbott, Walter Leonard

ABBOTT, Walter Leonard (Age 92) Passed away March 23, 2013 in Davenport, WA.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary Abbott at the home; two children Patrick (Kristi) Abbott and Mike (Autumn) Abbott; and three children from prior marriage Darlene (Jerry) Williamson, Donna Ray Hopkins, Darel (Judi) Abbott; along with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He has three brothers Dale (Hazel) Abbott, Glen (Ginger) Abbott, Gerald “Leroy” (Anita) Abbott; and a sister June Etter and brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Bess Hawley and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Emily Abbott and brother-in-law Eugene “Bud” Etter.

He is a 1938 Harrington High School graduate, WWII US Army Veteran and member of the American Legion Post 46 and local farmer and cattleman.

He attended Zion Lutheran Church.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1007 Washington St., Davenport, WA with Pastor Jim Stern, officiating.
