Felon label ruinous

My letter is not about anything that you have done, or at least I have not read about. This is concerning the problem in our society with finding a career, or lack thereof, because one has made a bad choice, done their time, yet still has to deal with being labeled a felon. Baloney.

The only reason others look down on us, and think that they are somehow superior or above us, is because they don’t have a felony. Yet, I would be willing to bet that they did criminal things but just were not caught in the act.

Here’s my point: Who are others to judge, and why if we, as a state, are worried about crime do we not help the ones who have criminal records become successful?

Building more prisons doesn’t solve the problem; it only creates bigger ones. Look at the statistics and you’ll see.
