LIBERTY LAKE – The Liberty Lake City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed until April 9. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 22710 E. Country Vista Drive.

Parenting event features pilot

SPOKANE VALLEY – A free parenting workshop titled “Raising the Next Generation of Character Champions” is scheduled for next Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway Ave.

The workshop will be led by Steve Scheibner, a pastor and American Airlines pilot. Scheibner was originally scheduled to fly the first American Airlines jet that flew into the World Trade Center; he will also speak about that experience.

No child care will be available during the event. Donations will be accepted. Call the church at (509) 924-0466 for more information.

Stuff the Bus diaper drive

Spokane County – Inland NW Baby will present its fourth annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive April 7-13.

Walgreens will have drop-off bins at all area stores during the whole week. You can also drop off donations at Spokane Valley Trading Company, 13014 E. Sprague Ave., or the Liberty Lake Albertsons.

Inland NW Baby was founded by Central Valley High School senior Jesse Shelton.
