Obituary: Hellerud, Demyles A. “Tom”

“Tom” (Age 81) DeMyles, better known as Tom, entered into rest on the beautiful, sunny day of Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at his home in Spokane, WA.

Tom was born and raised in Halstad, MN on June 20, 1931 with his twin sister Lavonne to Alfred Hellerud and Gladys Knutson.

Tom attended school in Halstad and joined the Navy shortly after graduating.

He enjoyed golfing, spending summers at Coeur d’Alene Lake, going for walks in Manito Park, and having picnics with his daughter Sindy.

Tom had a unique personality and a quirky sense of humor that will be greatly missed.

His daughter Sindy was grateful to have been able to spend the last month by his side with the help of the wonderful people at Hospice of Spokane.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Virgil.

He is survived by his sister Norma; his twin sister Lavonne; daughter Sindy and son-in-law Joe; grandson Zach and his wife Kelly; two twin daughters; two sons; numerous nieces and nephews and 10 grandchildren.
