Obituary: Isaackson, Gordon G.

Age 75

ISAACKSON, Gordon G. Entered into rest with his Lord, March 21, 2013 in Spokane, WA, after a cancer illness.

He was born August 30, 1937 in Wadena, MN.

After graduating from high school in 1955 in Antigo, WI he joined the Army and became a radio operator.

After serving for three years in the Army he went back to Santa Cruz, CA to live with his father.

In 1959 he joined the Air Force and married the love of his life, Maddalena Maria Trione, of Santa Cruz, CA.

In the Air Force he was trained as a jet engine mechanic in Illinios, then served at George AFB in Victorville, CA with the 329th FIS squadron.

Years later he retrained as a computer operator and was transferred to Fairchild AFB.

He was promoted to Chief of the 2039th Base Communications Squadron from 1983 to 1995.

He served twenty-one years in the military and retired with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maddalena, and daughter, April Isaackson, both of Medical Lake, WA; brother, Ed Isaackson of Clear Lake, WA; nephew, Jeff Issackson of Otis Orchards, WA; sister, Nancy Zemel Of Maryland, and niece, Lauren Sucher both of Maryland; and nephew, David Sucher of Florida.

He has additional family in Porterville, Santa Cruz, and San Jose, CA, and family in Sebeka, MN.

Gordon had a wonderful, positive outlook about life and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Family services will be held at the WA State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake at a later date.
