He passed on to peace and eternity on March 24, 2013, in his home surrounded by family.
Don spent his entire life in Spokane Valley, attending St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduating from Central Valley High School.
After high school, Don proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years, primarily stationed in Germany.
Don was a very dedicated employee of Central Pre-Mix, where he began as a truck driver and worked his way up to Driver Supervisor, spending 18 years in that role.
He retired after 34 years of outstanding service, receiving numerous awards along the way, including the 1,000,000-Mile Safety Award and Driver of the Year.
Don loved all sports, but his greatest passions were boating, fishing, and riding his Harley.
He was a Gonzaga basketball fan, having just attended the WCC tournament and watching them achieve the No.
1 ranking and a WCC Championship.
He also enjoyed cheering on the Seattle Mariners and attending their games.
Don is survived by his wife Cyndi, brother John Marcille, and sister Janice Kempf, nephews Justin and Jeffrey Kempf, niece Christina Marcille, as well as Donnie Pederson, Crystal Ervin, Kim Puntney, Drew Puntney, and grandchildren Steven, Alexis, Braxton, and Tevin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6 at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the Spokane Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
