Obituary: Setter, Stephen M.

Age 54

SETTER, Stephen M. (Age 54) March 1, 1959 - March 27, 2013 Entered into this world on March 1, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska.

He went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2013.

He graduated from Michigan State in 1986 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

In 1996 he graduated from Washington State University with a Doctorate in Pharmacy.

Stephen also completed a Geriatrics Fellowship at Elder Services in 1997.

He was a WSU Professor for 15 years where he pursued his passion through Elder Services serving the elderly community.

He is survived by his parents Thomas and Shirley Setter; daughters Courtney and McKenzie Setter; siblings, Mike Setter of Minnesota, Michele Morrison of Michigan, Barb McCarthy of Ohio, Mary Sloan of Utah and Karen Setter of Idaho as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Stephen’s passion for life and people was well known throughout the community.

He loved to ride his bicycle, climb mountains and spend time with his daughters.

He was a friend, father and mentor to many.

Through Stephen’s short life he touched many people.

His contagious smile and laughter will be greatly missed.

“We love you, Dad.”

A Celebration of Life will be held 11AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E. 24th Ave., Spokane, WA 99203.
