Work started in April 2013 on a new trail plan in the Dishman Hills Natural Area that calls for decommissioning many of the redundant trails and short cuts to creat several loops. The changes will route hikers more easily through the best parts of the conservancy and make it easier to sign the trails so hikers to stay oriented. In addition, the changes will give wildlife more places to be at peace without human interference.
