Denny was born a whopping 10 lbs.
to his proud parents, Austin and Dorothea Reger, in Seattle, WA and grew up in the Tacoma area.
The family spent several years in Enumclaw and then moved back to Tacoma.

He returned home and joined his father at Liberty Lake, becoming Assistant Pro after attending PGA Golf School.
Denny went on with his father to Valley View Golf Course in Liberty Lake, continuing there as owner and pro until the sale of the course in 2002.
He loved the game of golf.
He also enjoyed history and was always reading.
He was looking forward to a “road trip” to visit places he’d read about in books of the Civil War.
Denny is survived by his sister, Shirley Dean, of Hayden, Idaho; nieces, Lisa Wigen, of Rathdrum, Idaho and Shelly Dean-Shaw, of Harpswell, Maine; nephew, Norm Reger Jr., of Bozeman, Montana and nephew, Michael Reger, of the Seattle area.
