Hazel for school board

I am writing to express my support for Christa Hazel in the upcoming election of Coeur d’Alene Zone 1 school board representative. I am a parent of two children in the school district; one at Canfield Middle School and one at Bryan Elementary. I am also a Bryan Elementary PTA board member and the husband of an elementary teacher. Finally, I am a small-business owner and taxpayer in Coeur d’Alene.

I have come to know Hazel during our service on the Bryan Elementary PTA board of directors. She has consistently demonstrated a heartfelt willingness to make a positive difference in our public education system. Hazel also possesses a rare ability to bring dissenting viewpoints closer to consensus, due in part to her open-mindedness to new viewpoints that is tempered by a firm grounding in practical realities. She would bring a high level of intelligence and an even higher sense of integrity to the school board.

It is without reservation that I urge all readers to support Christa Hazel as our Zone 1 school board representative.
