Cohen, Hedberg voted first-team All-Big Sky
Eastern Washington University sophomore tennis players Joseph Cohen and Moira Hedberg were awarded with first-team All-Big Sky Conference honors that were announced on Thursday.
Cohen was also voted as co-Most Valuable Player for Big Sky men’s tennis. Cohen, a transfer from Middle Tennessee via England, won 14 matches and was 8-0 in the conference. The other co-MVP, Sacramento State’s Marek Marksoo, did not play Cohen.
Hedberg, from Oxnard, Calif., also won 14 matches, tying the EWU women’s season record set by Kasey Knox in 2007. Hedberg was 9-1 in the Big Sky.
Eagles senior Kelsey Knight, from Folsom, Calif, was given honorable mention.
