Obituary: Patterson, Harold

Age 65

PATTERSON, Harold A teacher until the end, Harold Patterson taught his family and friends patience and compassion as his six year battle with early onset Alzheimer’s came to an end on May 1, 2013.

Harold was in education for 40 years as a teacher, principal, coach, and volunteer.

A majority of this time was with the Davenport School District.

Harold was the oldest of six, born to Pat and Grace Patterson on February 21, 1948.

The family moved a lot with the Air Force, finally settling in Spokane.

He attended North Central High School then continued his education at EWU.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Janet.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Linda (Case) Patterson; son, Mark and wife Mihoko; daughter, Holly and husband Doug Branch; grandkids, Stacia, Nicholas, Kira, Mamiko, and Sadahiro; siblings, Candy Hunsucker, Steve (Kay) Patterson, Janice Patterson, Roger (Sara) Patterson; brothers-in-law, John and Harry Case.

A celebration of Memories will be held at the Davenport High School Gym on Saturday, May 11 at 11:30 am.
