1. B. A private study commissioned by the Spokane Tribe concludes that a proposed casino and resort in Airway Heights would create no disruptions or threats to training flights at Fairchild Air Force Base.

2. A. Langston Ward, a senior at Mead High School, read Kenneth Rexroth’s “The Bad Old Days” and won the national Poetry Out Loud championship, competing against hundreds of thousands of students. The 18-year-old read Rexroth’s poem because he wanted to convey its message of justice.

3. C. Creative differences over final editing have delayed the film’s expected 2012 theatrical release, reports said. There’s also a possible dispute between financial backers. The movie is about a group of live action role-playing gamers who accidentally summon a succubus.

4. C. NBA veteran Jason Collins came out as gay in a first-person article on Sports Illustrated’s website Monday. He wrote: “I’m a 34-year-old NBA center. I’m black. And I’m gay.”

5. B. Judy Clarke, a San Diego lawyer, led child-killer Joseph Duncan’s defense team during his 2008 death-penalty hearing in Boise. She’s been hired to represent Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Clarke is known for winning life sentences instead of death penalties.
