Flights of selfishness

I see where Congress hastily approved sequester legislation to end flight delays. The bill was prepared so fast that part of it was handwritten. Interesting that they fly a lot, so they made sure that they were not inconvenienced.

Apparently, learning programs for poor kids, public housing subsidies for low-income people, emergency housing for more than 100,000 homeless, reduced unemployment payments, veteran services, special education affecting over 30 million children and nutritional assistance for women, infants and children, as well as Medicare programs, were not as important as not having to stand in line long to catch that next flight. Congress approved it and the president signed it.

Shame on both sides.
