Man shot in alleged domestic dispute
A man was shot in the leg in North Spokane Monday night in what police are calling a domestic dispute.
According to a news release, the victim was taken to a hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening.
The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of West Boone Avenue.
Billy Wessels, 26, was taken into custody just after midnight at a residence at 2300 W. Sharp Ave., according to the release. He was booked in the Spokane County Jail on two counts of second-degree assault domestic violence and felony harassment.
The victim was not related the shooter, according to the release.
