NORTH SPOKANE – The Spokane Women’s Connection has changed its meeting location to the Eagles, 6410 N. Lidgerwood St.

The next meeting is on May 15 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and features speaker Kathy Crisp who will talk about new beginnings.

June Bug Fun Run signup under way

EAST SPOKANE – The June Bug Fun Run is June 8 with an 8:30 a.m. start at Spokane Community College’s athletic building, 1810 N. Greene Street.

Pick a three- or five-mile route along the Spokane River on Upriver Drive and South Riverton Street. Registration is $17, or $25 including a T-shirt.

Proceeds go to Lutheran Community Services Northwest.

Schools chief will be forum guest speaker

DOWNTOWN SPOKANE – The Spokane City Forum features Shelley Redinger, superintendent for Spokane Public Schools, at its luncheon at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Redinger will reflect on the year that’s passed and talk about the future of Spokane Public Schools.

The City Forum is at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar St. Tickets include a catered lunch and are $15, and $5 for students. Guests must register by noon Monday.
