Whatever you drink, a bargain awaits

You can’t beat happy hour at Hastings’ Hardback Coffee Cafe.
A Sample Of What You’ll Find At www.Spokane7.com

These days, more than ever, I seem to find myself searching for bargains. Not that I need to worry that much about money. If I were living in, say, Bangladesh, I would have enough money to live like … well, maybe not a rock star. But certainly comfortably.

I do, though, look for bargains. So I’m always attracted by signs such as the one above. Happy hour at coffee spots are popular at this particular time. Starbucks outlets are offering half-off prices on their Frappuccino drink between 3 and 5 p.m. through Sunday. But the establishment above, which is attached to the 29th Street Hastings store, is doing Starbucks one better – especially for those looking to save some money while on that first “let’s go for coffee” date.

Been there, done that, as they say. And if the date doesn’t work out, you can always go and browse the book and/or DVD shelves. Take comfort where you find it, that’s my motto.
