Obituary: Davis, Donald Frank

Age 76

DAVIS, Donald Frank (Age 76) On January 31, 2013, Donnie tore through the Pearly Gates on his John Deere mower, black hat on head.

Donnie was born March 24, 1936 at home on a ranch just outside of Oakesdale, WA, the last of six children.

He and his family moved to Rockford, WA where he attended elementary and high school.

He married his childhood sweetheart Janice Loftin on March 13, 1954 and they had four beautiful daughters (until they turned 50 Ha Ha).

Don always had a great sense of humor, a good sense of community and a strong sense of responsibility to his family and friends.

Don would have given the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed anything and did just that many times.

Don was a truck driver for years working for R.G.G., Fox Milling, Purina Feeds and Land O’ Lakes, making many friends along the way.

Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jan; his sister, Ruth (Laverne) Pittman; his daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Reed, Shelley (Randy) Altmeyer, Shannon (Mike) Crewse, Charlene (Steve) Primmer and Dale (Fayanne) Kemmish (the “son he never wanted”) (private joke).

Don had eight grandkids, 11 great-grands with one on the way, four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Memorial service for Don will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Spokane Valley Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Rd.

Spokane Valley WA (across from the old University City).

Come and join us in a 21 “Goo” salute in memory of Donnie.
