Clarice was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Frank and Elsie Peck on November 14, 1921.
The Peck family came to Spokane in 1923.
Clarice went to North Central High School and graduated in 1939.
She married Jack Huffman in 1941 and shortly after WWII they moved to Chewelah, WA where they lived and raised their family until Jack passed away in 1995.
Clarice then moved to Spokane where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She always had a lunch date with a friend, cookies to bake, or cards to write.
Clarice had such an energetic, happy spirit.
She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Clarice is survived by her daughter Marie (son-in-law Larry) Hutsell of Spokane, five grandchildren Carrie Honegger, Avril MacKay, Christy Hutsell, Laurie Gilliland, and Tyron Lindquist; and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Zachary, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Brianna, and Ella.
Also her grandson Chris Kopsho (his wife Catherine) and two great-grandchildren, Kyana and Jordan and numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends that were so important to her throughout her life.
Clarice’s Memorial Service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery, Sunset Chapel on May 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
Burial was on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 where she was laid to rest with her husband of 54 years, Jack Huffman, at Chewelah Memorial Park.
Clarice was very proud to be a 42 year breast cancer survivor, so memorial donations could be made to the American Cancer Society in Spokane or as she loved animals, especially her cat, donations could be made to the Humane Society.
