Strange justice

A couple of weeks ago, I thought that justice was kind of weird in Spokane when Karl Thompson Jr. was allowed to not be responsible for any part of the $850,000 bill he fraudulently stuck to the taxpayers of this community. But it gets even weirder. I later read that a couple of brothers rolled back some odometers, sold some cars and face up to 20 years in the slammer.

But on the same day, I read that Tim Moses, “who sold out his badge and his honor” (quoting Doug Clark), will cop a plea to a gross misdemeanor. I mean, a uniformed officer sworn to uphold the law and protect the citizenry is going to, along with losing his job, get not much more than a traffic ticket. Did I say lose his job? Well, let’s just stand by on that one.

I suspect Tim will be next contacting attorney Carl Oreskovich to see if he can’t get his job back with extra funding through suing Spokane. If that happens, we will go from weird to weirder to weirdest.
