Put Razzetto on health board

On May 21, there will be an election in Kootenai County. For the first time, a position on the board of trustees of Kootenai Health, Coeur d’Alene’s outstanding general hospital, is on the ballot, resulting in an unnecessary amount of politicization of this election.

Kootenai Health has grown enormously in the past few years, and will continue to grow and remain financially viable into the future with the right kind of governance. Specifically, this hospital needs people who have ties with the community, and expertise in financial matters. The board already has three physicians, and does not need to add a fourth M.D. to this seven-member board.

Liese Razzetto has served on the board of trustees for seven years, and in addition is the area president of Wells Fargo Bank in Coeur d’Alene. She is hands down the best-qualified candidate for this position, which is unpaid and requires a significant amount of time.

There is not a single person who is more suited for this slot on the Kootenai Health board of trustees. I urge everyone, regardless of party affiliation, to vote for Liese Razzetto.
