Lilac royalty to be honored

This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Spokane Lilac Festival.

To commemorate the occasion, the organization would like to honor past Lilac queens and princesses with a reception Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N. Lincoln St.

The organization is expecting Lilac royalty from around the world, and former queens and princesses are invited to wear their sashes and tiaras. Many have shared “I remember when” stories already with the organization.

If you are a former Lilac queen or princess, you are invited to register at, or call the office at (509) 535-4554.
