Obituary: Prophet, Gerald L. “Jerry”

Age 71

PROPHET, Gerald L. “Jerry” (Age 71) Was born February 22, 1942 at Garfield, WA.

On May 18, 2013 he died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends in the caring atmosphere of the Deaconess oncology depart-ment.

Jerry graduated from North Central High School in 1960 and from EWU in 1965.

He served in the U.S. Navy in Washington, DC from 1967 to 1969.

Jerry managed data centers for ONB, Farm Credit, 1st of North Idaho, Farmers & Merchants and retired from Idaho Independent Bank in 2005.

He was preceded in death by father, Verne Prophet and brother, Larry Prophet.

He is survived by his mother, Elma Prophet; wife, Colleen, of 49 years; children, Jim (Tracey) Prophet and Ann (Brendan) Powell; grandchildren, Jaceya, Caleb and Noah Prophet, Natalie and Nathan Powell; sister Karen (Dana) Kennedy; brother, John Prophet; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10:00am at the First Free Methodist Church on Ash and Courtland.

Interment May 22, 2013 3:00pm at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery.
